Resumen Michael Ignatieff, historiador canadiense escribio la biografia de Isaiah Berlin para mostrar las importantes aportaciones que hizo a la historia de las ideas sobre la Libertad, uno de los principios del Liberalismo. Al biografo le interesaba tambien conocer la influencia de la participacion de Berlin en el Servicio Britanico de Informacion con sede en Nueva York y en la embajada de Inglaterra en Washington durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Palabras clave : Historia, biografia, liberalismo, libertad. Abstract Michael Ignatieff, a Canadian historian wrote the biography of Isaiah Berlin to show the important contributions that Berlin made to the history of ideas about Freedom, one of the principles of Liberalism. The biographer was also interested in knowing the influence of Berlin's participation in the British Information Service based in New York and in the British embassy in Washington during the Second World War.
