Abstract
Diabetes Melitus (DM) merupakan penyakit gangguan metabolik akibat pankreas tidak memproduksi cukup insulin atau tubuh tidak dapat menggunakan insulin secara efektif. Kualitas tidur yang buruk sering terjadi pada pasien DM tipe 2 akibat gangguan tidur. Salah satu upaya peningkatan kualitas tidur pada DM tipe 2 adalah dengan melakukan aktivitas fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dengan kualitas tidur pada pasien DM tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif korelasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 30 orang diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data aktivitas fisik dan kualitas tidur diambil dengan menggunakan kuesioner International Physical Activity Questionnare dan Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index. Hasil uji korelasi Spearman Rank menunjukkan ada hubungan positif antara aktivitas fisik dengan kualitas tidur pada pasien DM tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat (r = 0,817; p=0,01), yang berarti semakin rendah tingkat aktivitas fisik yang dilakukan maka kualitas tidur pada pasien DM tipe 2 akan semakin buruk. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam memperhatikan aktivitas fisik yang dilakukan sehari-hari untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas tidur.
