Abstract
A comunicação com o público é importante para qualquer organização. O seu desempenho está certamente dependente do modo como todos os agentes que de algum modo têm relação com a organização percebem a forma como ela age e procura concretizar determinados objectivos. Neste texto, o processo de comunicação externa de uma instituição de primordial importância para a regulação económica da sociedade é debatido. Referimo-nos ao Banco Central – ao Banco Central compete essencialmente o controlo da inflação; para conseguir garantir a estabilidade de preços, esta instituição tem de saber gerir expectativas e a gestão de expectativas é acima de tudo um processo que está dependente de uma comunicação externa eficaz e credível.
