O presente texto pretende narrar a trajetória de formação e o inicio da trajetória de um grupo de mulheres negras de diferentes formações, idades variadas (Mulheres do Ler) reunidas para a escrita de uma antologia, que descrevem em diferentes linguagens (prosa e verso) suas vivências como mulheres, negras e da Baixada Fluminense no Rio de Janeiro. O movimento de estruturação da obra literária, as ações de debate e divulgação em torno das temáticas apresentadas pelo grupo se constituem um ato efetivo de resistência do povo negro.
