Comment envisage-t-on le métissage dans la Caraïbe ? À première vue, on pourrait s’attendre à ce que la notion de mélange y prédomine sous tous les termes possibles, à commencer par être aux fondements de l’identité culturelle, ici enfin appréciée dans sa pleine hétérogénéité. Or en réalité, les récits prolifèrent, et ne se résument guère à une voix prédominante, telle celle du mouvement créoliste. Basé sur un terrain récent encore en cours dans le milieu littéraire martiniquais (2016-2019), ce texte se penche sur les différents discours en (co)présence, les principales critiques à la notion de créolité, ainsi que sur ce que la « génération » de la post-créolité semble plutôt proposer.
