Abstrak : Preeklampsi atau yang sering disebut sebagai keracunan dalam kehamilan merupakan kasus yang sering terjadi pada kehamilan dan salah satu pnyebab kematian terbesar di dunia. Kasus Mortaliti pada ibu tersebut disebabkan karena adanya keterlambatan dalam penanganan dan ketidaktahuan ibu terhadap gejala klinis preeklampsia. Gejala dini yang sering terjadi pada kasus preekllampsia adalah kenaikan berat badan yang signifikan dalam waktu yang relative singkat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan.peningkatan berat badan.berdasarkan Body Mass Indeks dengan. Preeklampsia di Praktik Mandiri Bidan wilayah kerja Pukesmas Jogoloyo Kabupaten Jombang. Design penelitian ini analitik korelasional dengan metode cross sectional, dengan menggunakan sampel sebagian ibu hamil trimester III yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi yaitu 30 responden dengan teknik simple.random.sampling. Variabel : kenaikan berat badan berdasarkan Body Mass Indeks dan kejadian preeclampsia pada ib u hamil. Instrumen penelitian ini checklist, Buku KIA dan dilakukan uji statistic menggunakan “wilcoxon” dengan tingkat kemaknaan 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hamper setengah responden yaitu 14 responden (46,7%) memiliki kenaikan berat badan berlebih dan sebagian responden tidak mengalami preeklampsia yaitu sebanyak 22 responden (73,3%). Hasil Uji ρ = 0,01. Diperoleh ρ<α atau 0,01<0,05. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara kenaikan berat badan berdasarkan Body Mass Indeks dengan kejadian preeklampsia pada ibu hamil. Disarankan pada bidan agar memasukkan materi tentang preeklampsia pada saat kelas ibu hamil dan terutama tentang skrining/deteksi dini preeklampsia terhadap setiap ibu hamil.
