Abstract
Cet article s’intéresse à la mémoire collective du Parti apriste péruvien (PAP) comme outil de cohésion interne et d’instrumentation idéologique. Il démontre comment la direction du parti sut déployer, et constamment réinventer, une mémoire collective de groupe de façon à maintenir l’unité au sein des rangs apristes entre les années 1930 et 1950. Cet article conçoit la mémoire apriste comme un ensemble de caractéristiques physiques et morales que la direction du parti transmit aux partisans du groupe avec le soutien de marqueurs symboliques. Cette stratégie permit à la direction d’ancrer dans une notion de continuité les nombreux changements idéologiques qui pourtant sous-tendirent l’évolution de ce mouvement populiste au Pérou.
