Abstract
Nicknamed Wake Robin because it blooms around the same time as robins return from winter migration grounds, white trillium has been Ontario's provincial floral emblem since 1937. This perennial herb's white blossom is associated with peace and hope. The distinctive arrangement of the foliage makes white trillium the perfect object of study when exploring growing patterns.
