Abstract
Anne sütü ile beslenmenin bebek ve anne sağlığı üzerine pek çok olumlu etkisi olduğu bilinmektedir. Annelerin bebeği için en iyisini istemesi dışında emzirmenin toplumda anne kimliğini sembolize etmesi de anneleri emzirmeye yönlendirir. Ayrıca anne sütü ile beslenmenin anne-bebek bağı üzerine olumlu etkisi evlat edinen anneleri emzirmeye motive eder. Evlat edinmiş annelerde anne sütü ile besleme uyarılmış laktasyonla sağlanır. Bu yazıda on haftalık erkek bebeği evlat edinen annenin emzirme konusunda destek almak için emzirme polikliniğine başvurusu değerlendirilmiştir. Gebelik ve emzirme öyküsü olmayan anneye domperidon başlanarak ten teması, 3 saat arayla sağım yapması ve parmakla besleme yöntemiyle formül sütle beslenme önerildi. Bir hafta sonra süt sekresyonu başlayan ve sağımlara devam eden anne, bir sonraki kontrolde bebeğin uykuda emmeye başladığını, formül süt ihtiyacının azaldığını ifade etmiştir. Sürecin 45. gününde domperidonun kesilmesiyle sütü azalan anneye ten teması, düzenli sağım ve domperidon kullanımı önerildi. Annesi domperidon kullanmayan bebek emmeyi de reddettiğinden tamamlayıcı beslenme ile desteklendi. Pompalamaya devam etmesi önerilen annenin 1 ay sonra süt salgılaması durdu. Şu anda 20 aylık olan bebeğini toplam 5 ay boyunca emzirdiği tespit edildi. Olgumuzda gebelik ve emzirme öyküsü olmayan anne bebeğini anne sütü ile beslemeyi başardı. Bebeğin yaşının 3 aydan küçük olması, annenin güçlü motivasyonu ile yakın takip ve destek uyarılmış laktasyon sürecinin başarıya ulaşmasında en öneli etkenlerdir. Sağlık profesyonellerinin uyarılmış laktasyon ve relastasyon konusunda bilgi sahibi olması bu süreci başlatma ve sürdürmede önem taşımaktadır.
