Une expérience de recherche-intervention dans une entreprise d’exploitation minière : défis et possibilités

Abstract
Dans cet article sont discutés les résultats préliminaires d’une recherche-intervention dans une entreprise d’extraction de minerai de fer. Celle-ci nous avait commandé le développement individuel des opérateurs d’excavatrices à câble afin d’augmenter leur productivité. Comme proposition alternative nous avons présenté un projet centré sur la dimension collective du travail tout en valorisant le savoir-faire des opérateurs et des autres ouvriers du système productif local. Leurs familles ont également participé à la recherche. Appuyés sur des méthodologies qualitatives, nous nous sommes inspirés d’approches cliniques du travail en utilisant des entretiens, de l’observation de terrain, des groupes de discussion, l’instruction au sosie et l’auto-confrontation simple et croisée. Les résultats montrent que l’entreprise qui, préalablement, négligeait le dialogue avec ses travailleurs, tend maintenant à accueillir des actions visant à faciliter la dimension collective du travail ainsi qu’une participation relative des employés dans l’organisation locale des processus de travail.
