Abstract
Dynamics of the development of the vocabulary of the Australian and Canadian variants of the modern English in synchronic and diachronic mode]The English language with its specific features is a complex dynamic system characterized by variability.The aim of the work is to show the relationship between time and space, change and development, statics and dynamics, synchronic and diachronic language descriptions and their influence on the composition of the Australian and Canadian versions of modern English.The novelty of the work is that for the first time a comprehensive comparative-historical analysis of the development of the Australian and Canadian versions of the modern English is applied.The paper identifies the general and particular trends of historical changes and transformations of language structures based on material from previously unused lexicographical sources.The results showed that the language is a flexible system that is constantly undergoing changes.
