Abstract

L’évolution enregistrée par la notion de patrimoine industriel ces dernières années implique un réexamen des récits qui vont traditionnellement de pair avec les pratiques de valorisation des sites industriels. Cet article vise à mettre en évidence les principales innovations disciplinaires en référence à trois aspects spécifiques. Avant tout on essayera de signaler l’extension des phénomènes étudiés à de nouveaux domaines. Les nouvelles études thématiques de TICCIH et les récents colloques sur les patrimoines lies à l’énergie atomique et à l’aérospatial ouvrent de nouveaux terrains de recherche qui semblent annoncer un grand élargissement de l’horizon disciplinaire. Un deuxième aspect est celui des nouvelles pratiques de conservation où l’urgence d’assigner des nouvelles fonctions au patrimoine industriel réaffecté implique des approches qui doivent conjuguer protection et transformation. Le dernier aspect est celui des nouvelles valeurs dans les stratégies de patrimonialisation qui visent à faire émerger certains cotés qui souvent n’ont pas trouvé un espace suffisant dans les récits habituels : la question coloniale et la question de l’environnement.
