PENGARUH KEREKATAN PERPADUAN PELAPISAN EPOKSI PADA PERMUKAAN PIPA ( BASE PIPE) SETELAH DILAKUKAN TES IKATAN KATODIK (KATHODIC DISBONDING TEST) TERHADAP LAJU KOROSI

Abstract
Material Fusion Bonded epoxy powder coating banyak digunakan sebagai proteksi pada struktur logam dan non logam, serta memiliki variasi ketebalan pelapisan dan daya rekat yang berfariasi,. Daya rekat adalah suatu keadaan, dimana lapisan powder epoksi berfungsi untuk memperlambat proses laju korosi yang diaplikasikan pada permukaan logam. Proses pengujian powder coating banyak dilakukan untuk menjaga kualitas hasil pelapisan, metode pengujian tersebut adalah kathodik disbonding test. Katodik disbonding tes dilakukan pada beberapa sampel potongan pipa yang telah dilapisi epoksi sesuai standar CSA ( canadian standard asosiation ). Pada penelitian ini digunakan pipa baja ASTM A53 ( Amirican society for Testings and Material ), Pada pengujian ini diambil sampel potongan pipa sebanyak 10 buah, 5 sampel diuji pada temperatur 65 0 C dengan variasi waktu 24 jam, 48 jam, 72 jam, 96 jam dan 120 jam, 5 sampel lainnya diuji pada temperatur 80 0 C dengan variasi waktu 24 jam, 48 jam, 72 jam, 96 jam dan 120 jam. Dari hasil pengujian Cathodic disbonding test yang telah dilakukan, pada suhu 65 0 C terjadi laju korosi dari 1,38 mm sampai dengan 1,76 mm dan pada suhu 80 0 C terjadi laju korosi 1,44 mm sampai dengan 1,88 mm. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan variasi waktu dan temperatur mempengaruhi hilangnya daya rekat epoksi yang diakibatkan korosi.
