Abstract
The ability to post-synthetically functionalize conjugated polymers by “plugging” various structures into the polymer backbone is demonstrated in the Research Article on page 2980 by Alex Adronov and co-workers using inverse-electron-demand Diels–Alder (IEDDA) chemistry on a poly(tetrazine) polymer backbone. A small library of polymers was rapidly prepared by reacting a series of trans-cyclooctyne derivatives with the poly(tetrazine).
