O principal objetivo desta proposta de dossiê temático é o de promover intercâmbios e estimular debates sobre os trabalhos na área da medida e da avaliação, num contexto de inovação que favoreça a inclusão, tendo em conta a natureza transversal do tema em múltiplos domínios do conhecimento e de formação (didática, medidas e avaliação, adaptação escolar, pedagogia universitária, etc.). Para tanto, especialistas em diferentes áreas do conhecimento trazem textos originais e inéditos, respondendo a uma ou outra das questões apresentadas anteriormente. Estas questões são aqui tratadas segundo três ângulos de análise, o dos processos de aprendizagens realizados pelos alunos, o das práticas docentes de professores e futuros professores ou o da formação inicial e continuada de professores tanto no ensino fundamental e médio, como no ensino superior (colegial e universitário).
