Abstract
Les 14 communautés inuites du Nunavik (Arctique québécois) sont approvisionnées en électricité à partir de petites centrales thermiques au diésel. Ces communautés se montrent de plus en plus intéressées par l’idée de développer des sources d’énergie renouvelable pour leur approvisionnement (éolien, hydroélectricité, solaire), dans un souci environnemental certes, mais aussi comme affirmation de leur autonomie économique et politique. Ces projets suscitent cependant de vifs débats au sein des communautés et se heurtent à des résistances, tant locales qu’au niveau des institutions régionales et politiques. Comment s’articulent ces débats et que traduisent-ils des représentations locales ?
