700 MHz Quad Port Helical Antenna Array for MIMO Applications

Abstract
Quad helical antenna is designed for Multiple Inputs Multiple Outputs (MIMO) application in the 700 MHz Europe 2020 allocated band for wireless communications. The quad printed helical antenna with four collocated independent ports has S11<; -20dB 13% band width in 694 MHz - 790 MHz band. We present the element and a staggered column array with simulation and measured results of radiation patterns, and s-parameters for the single stand-alone quad antenna and in the array. The staggered array is designed and fabricated. Measured results and field tests will be presented.
