Abstract
Dans cet article, nous explorons les liens entre le genre, l'ethnicite et l'emploi a partir des representations identitaires et du discours sur leur experience professionnelle de femmes immigrantes exercant des fonctions de gestion (N=5). La methode privilegiee est la methode de contextualisation representationnelle, rattachee a la perspective ego-ecologique (Zavalloni et Louis Guerin, 1984). Elle permet de cerner les dimensions genre-profession-nationalite de la construction identitaire professionnelle et de montrer le contenu representationnel lie a la carriere chez ces femmes. Les resultats laissent entrevoir des liens entre leur construction identitaire professionnelle et la mise en œuvre de pratiques organisationnelles via une forme de leadership transformationnel. Nous decrivons les themes qui decoulent de cette construction identitaire professionnelle, avec comme point de depart un statut doublement minoritaire dans l'entreprise pour ces femmes exercant des fonctions d'encadrement.
