Abstract
Les mouvements sociaux se traduisent de différentes façons, notamment par des grèves, des manifestations et des discours revendicateurs, lesquels prennent souvent la forme de slogans, tant scandés qu’écrits. C’est à ce dernier aspect que cet article est consacré, et ce, à partir d’un corpus constitué de slogans écrits sur des pancartes de manifestation lors de la grève étudiante québécoise de 2012. Partant d’une conception large de l’argumentation, je m’intéresse aux modalités de l’appel à l’action réalisé au moyen de slogans scripturaires : qui est appelé à l’action, le groupe revendicateur ou son opposant ? Par quels procédés discursifs cet appel est-il réalisé ? Cernant le fonctionnement de l’écriture populaire revendicatrice, cet article envisage le slogan comme acte sociodiscursif générateur de discours de positionnement qui participe à la constitution des groups militants et à la mise en évidence de tensions sociales.
