Cette recherche qualitative interprétative s’intéresse à une modalité particulière du coenseignement en éducation physique et à la santé au Québec qui s’organise en jumelage de deux groupes. Elle vise premièrement à documenter les conceptions de 16 élèves du primaire, dont 8 ayant des besoins particuliers, sur leur bien-être lors des cours vécus en condition de coenseignement en jumelage, comparativement aux cours selon la condition de groupe unique. Deuxièmement, elle porte un regard spécifique sur le bien-être perçu des élèves ayant des besoins particuliers dans ces conditions. Les analyses effectuées à partir du modèle théorique du bien-être PERMA de Seligman (2011) permettent de dégager que l’engagement, les relations interpersonnelles et les émotions positives représentent trois dimensions susceptibles de soutenir le bien-être des élèves. En contraste avec la littérature, ces dimensions émergent particulièrement dans un contexte de groupe unique. Les résultats soutiennent aussi l’importance que les élèves ayant des besoins particuliers accordent aux relations interpersonnelles et aux émotions positives comme leviers à leur bien-être. Cette recherche suscite un questionnement sur l’organisation du coenseignement en jumelage en éducation physique et à la santé afin de mieux répondre aux besoins hétérogènes des élèves intégrés dans le groupe.
