Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This thesis examines the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between Canada and the European Union (EU) through the lens of intellectual property law. The thesis considers the discussions that lead to the deal and provides an overview of the impact of this important international economic agreement between two major actors in the industrialised world. The impact of this agreement on the domain of intellectual property law is demonstrated in a discussion of its effect on the everyday consumer goods. In addition, this thesis explores CETA’s impact on the procedures to be followed in the case of infringements of intellectual property rights. The thesis concludes with an examination of the nature of the cooperation between the two Parties and CETA’s potential impact on their economy.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
