S’appuyant sur la pratique à la Clinique psychanalytique de Montréal, centre de traitements dédié à des patients aux revenus très limités, l’article pose la question des rapports entre environnement culturel et configurations psychopathologiques dominantes dans la culture contemporaine, notamment chez les jeunes. La question de l’impact du socius sur la psyché, tel que posé initialement par Freud, et le débat interne aux sciences humaines concernant ce qu’il en serait d’une subjectivité « post-moderne » sera confrontée à quelques illustrations cliniques.
