Abstract
L’Espagne, pays multilingue, est caractérisé par le monolinguisme de son État central. Cette situation contraste vivement avec celle du Canada, par exemple, où l’État fédéral est bilingue et s’adresse en principe à ses citoyens dans les deux langues nationales. En partant de ces deux situations, et en se fondant sur l’exemple des communications relatives à l’actuelle pandémie, ce texte examine l’opportunité d’une modification constitutionnelle qui permettrait de sauvegarder les droits des citoyens et le patrimoine linguistique de la société espagnole.
