Abstract
L’entrée dans la Modernité a signifié « la fin du monde », au sens du monde clos sur lui-même, celui des traditions et hiérarchies préétablies. Depuis, comme l’explique Michaël Foessel dans un essai récent, deux voies ne cessent de s’opposer : soit l’ouverture à un monde compris cette fois comme horizon de possibles, soit le repli identitaire sur le flux de la vie. À l’aune de cette opposition, le philosophe met en lumière la forme de subjectivité qui domine notre époque : celle de l’entrepreneur capitaliste, en retrait du monde et investi dans sa vie comme dans une affaire. Néanmoins, la dichotomie monde/vie permet-elle de penser concrètement un « autre monde possible » ?
