Abstract
L’Afrique du Sud est à la croisée des chemins. Son échec serait dramatique. Pour les Sud-africains d’abord mais plus largement sur les mouvements d’émancipation. Le grand capital et la finance ont besoin de montrer qu’aucune alternative n’est possible hors le chemin qu’ils ont tracé, celui du néolibéralisme. Si l’héritage de l’apartheid est assurément un lourd fardeau, il ne saurait à lui seul expliquer les difficultés rencontrées. Pourtant, l’espoir existe d’une « meilleure vie pour tous ». Les Sud-africains continuent à y croire.
