Abstract
La plupart de romanciers africains réclament, à travers leurs œuvres, une certaine appartenance aux biotopes linguistiques et identitaires de leur continent d’origine, bien que la langue française soit leur langue d’écriture et de publication. Cette réalité soulève la question de la textualité des langues dans le roman francophone noir, en rapport avec les positionnements identitaires des écrivains postcoloniaux. À partir des imaginaires des langues, l’article montre comment ces auteurs conçoivent l’altérité. Il démontre que les écrivains africains postcoloniaux ont une approche qui varie d’un auteur à un autre, échappant ainsi aux modélisations.
