Abstract
Penser la realite apparait souvent indissociable d’une prise en compte de sa temporalite. Dans les sciences, le temps se glisse ainsi regulierement dans les equations, le plus souvent sous la forme d’une variable a priori innocente, t. Dans la vie quotidienne, sa presence s’impose si fortement que le sentiment de son acceleration peut apparaitre comme une caracteristique centrale des societes modernes. Toutefois, le temps reste une enigme. Depuis les propositions theoriques d’Albert Einstein, les questions sur sa nature et sur son existence sont ouvertement posees et certains physiciens s’interrogent meme sur la capacite d’y trouver une reponse. C’est pourquoi, face aux difficultes que presente cette notion – et en lien avec mes recherches actuelles sur la notion de social qui presente aux sociologues des difficultes similaires – le present article cherchera a etayer la these suivante : si la production d’une experience symbolique partagee afin de signifier la realite peut etre une condition de notre capacite a en faire sens, a l’inverse l’existence d’une experience symbolique partagee peut exercer une contrainte particulierement difficile a surmonter quand notre experience de la realite lui echappe.
