Le lien entre Dieu et la vérité ne va pas de soi et il a une longue histoire. Dans cet article, il s’agit d’explorer, de déceler des anomalies étonnantes (métaphysiques, épistémologiques et éthiques) par rapport aux habitudes de penser la vérité et son rapport à Dieu en lien avec la figure mythifiée ou fantasmée de Thomas d’Aquin dans la Summa theologiae pour dépoussiérer l’expression de la vérité comme adaequatio rei et intellectum. Cet article médite sur a) la vérité en rapport avec Dieu qui connaît le monde qu’il a créé et notre capacité à articuler des jugements vrais sur Dieu et ce monde ; b) la vérité de Dieu en tant que, se révélant, il est « véridique » et « vérace », c’est-à-dire fidèle ; c) des vérités dans des interactions humaines lorsque Dieu est à l’horizon.
