Dans le cadre de ce travail de recherche théorique, nous avons croisé les apports de la théorie néo-institutionnelle sociologique (DiMaggio et Powell, 1983 ; Fligstein, 1998 ; Leca, Julie, et Boxenbaum, 2008), et les apports du courant de la dénaturation des PME (Julien, 1994 ; Julien et Marchesnay, 1996 ; Torrès, 1999), pour développer un cadre conceptuel qui met en avant l’apport de la démarche collective de diffusion des pratiques de la RSE dans les PME. Puis, au travers d’une revue de la littérature sur les stratégies collectives (Yami, 2003 ; Levy, Loebbecke et Powell, 2003 ; Morris, Koçak et Özer, 2007 ; Gnyawali et Park, 2009), nous montrons pourquoi la démarche collective constitue un vecteur d’intégration stratégique des principes de RSE dans les PME.
