espanolA finales de enero de 2020, una situacion sinoptica definida por la presencia de una borrasca de gran potencia situada al sur de las islas Baleares genero un temporal de viento, nieve y precipitaciones de alta intensidad, bautizada con el nombre de Gloria. La costa catalana, en su conjunto, fue una de las mas afectadas de toda Espana. En este articulo se aborda el estudio de las consecuencias socioeconomicas del temporal en la costa de Barcelona, esto es, en los municipios litorales del Maresme, el Barcelones, el Baix Llobregat y el Garraf. La aproximacion analitica ha contado con fuentes de datos oficiales de la Administracion, y se ha evaluado la gestion publica tanto durante como despues del episodio. El temporal Gloria pone encima de la mesa una serie de temas clave que solo pueden solucionarse a traves de un buen entendimiento entre expertos, tecnicos y cargos publicos. EnglishAt the end of January 2020, a synoptic situation defined by the presence of a powerful cyclone located in the south of the Balearic Islands generated a storm of high intensity wind, snow and precipitation, known as Gloria (Jacob in United States of America and Canada). The Catalan coast was one of the most affected in Spain. This paper deals with the study of the socioeconomic consequences of Gloria on the Barcelona coast, that is, in the coastal municipalities of Maresme, Barcelones, Baix Llobregat and Garraf. The analytical approach uses official sources from the Catalan administration. Public management has been evaluated both during and after the episode. En aquest article s’aborda l’estudi de les consequencies socioeconomiques del temporal a la costa de Barcelona, es a dir, als municipis litorals del Maresme, el Barcelones, el Baix Llobregat i el Garraf. L’aproximacio analitica ha comptat amb fonts de dades oficials de l’Administracio, i s’ha avaluat la gestio publica tant durant com despres de l’episodi. El temporal Gloria posa damunt la taula una serie de temes candents que nomes poden solucionar-se amb una bona entesa entre experts, tecnics i carrecs publics.
