Abstract
El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo construir el escenario tendencial y estratégico de Álamos, Sonora, México, partiendo del análisis de la evolución de los subsistemas, natural, social y económico con base en sus principales indicadores, generando insumos para la planeación del desarrollo sustentable del municipio. Para la elaboración de los escenarios se consideró las condiciones fisiográficas, climáticas, edáficas, el uso del suelo y en consecuencia el desarrollo de las actividades económicas predominantes que se han ejercitado de 1980 a la fecha. Asimismo, se tomó en cuenta la dinámica poblacional y las áreas de ocupación. La secuencia seguida fue: Percepción del presente: ¿en dónde se está?, percepción del futuro probable: ¿para dónde se va? (Escenario tendencial), diseño del futuro deseable: ¿hacia dónde se quiere ir? (escenario alternativo) y estrategias de desarrollo: ¿hacia dónde se puede ir? (Escenario estratégico).Los escenarios obtenidos fueron tomando en cuenta el cambio climático, las políticas ambientales y las principales actividades productivas, lo cuales se espera contribuyan en la toma de decisiones en futuros trabajos o como referencia a estudios similares.
