Abstract
Air bersih ataupun minum yang cukup secara kuantitas, kualitas, dan kontinuitas merupakan kebutuhan utama untuk kelangsungan hidup manusia. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu instalasi pengolahan air (IPA) guna menunjang kelancaran distribusi air pada masyarakat. Pemilihan unit operasi dan proses pada IPA harus disesuaikan dengan kondisi air baku yang yang menjadi sumber utama. Air baku sendiri adalah air yang belum mengalami proses pengolahan, artinya air tersebut memiliki kualitas yang sudah mendekati air bersih. Namun masih diatas nilai ambang batas sehingga diperlukan pengolahan terlebih dahulu sebelum dimanfaatkan sebagai air bersih ataupun air minum. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pengolahan air baku sungai/sumur untuk meminimalisir kandungan pencemar agar air minum dapat terpenuhi. Metode pengolahan dengan sistem flokulasi, koagulasi dan filtrasi dipilih dalam pengolahan air baku guna meningkatkan sanitasi dan higienitas masyarakat.Dari berbagai masalah yang dihadapi oleh Pondok Pesantren tersebut, maka solusi yang ditawarkan adalah pengolahan air bersih dalam upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan air bersih layak konsumsi melalui proses penjernihan air sebelum air tersebut didistribusikan. Oleh sebab itu sesuai prioritas kebutuhan, dilakukan penyuluhan tentang teknologi penjernihan dan pengolahan air bersih, rancang bagun instalasi pengolahan air bersih dengan teknologi filter untuk penjernih air. Untuk keberlanjutan kegiatan ini, maka perlu dibentuk struktur organisasi pengelola kelompok untuk manajemen dan pemeliharaan air bersih tersebut.Sesuai prioritas kebutuhan maka ditawarkan solusi permasalahan yang dihadapi Pesantren Darunnai’m yakni dengan penyuluhan tentang teknologi penjernihan dan pengolahan air bersih, dan rancang bangun instalasi filter.
