Abstract

This paper describes results of experimental and analytical studies conducted on a 15-storey reinforced concrete shear core building. The experiments included a series of ambient vibration tests to determine natural frequencies and modes of the tested structure. The analytical work involved development of several numerical models of the building using different modelling techniques. These models were used to develop sets of modal properties of the building. The experimental and analytical results were compared and conclusions from this comparison were drawn.
