Abstract
La obra de Jorge Luis Borges esta marcada por las huellas de animales no humanos, de entre los cuales sobresalen los tigres. El presente texto constituye una lectura de los tigres borgianos –y del Borges de los tigres– desde una perspectiva ecocritica, enfocandose en la relacion que el autor y sus voces poetica y narrativa establecen con otros sujetos animales. A partir de la premisa de que muchos de los textos de Borges deconstruyen y descolonizan la dicotomia humano-animal, este articulo pretende comprender los roles de la relacion humano-tigre en la obra del autor, los discursos historicos, cientificos y epistemologicos que promueven y limitan dicha relacion, y las conexiones entre el tigre y algunos temas fundamentales como la divinidad, el infinito y el lenguaje. Asi, el objetivo principal de este analisis es examinar las relaciones interespecie y las subjetividades humana y no humana en la literatura de Jorge Luis Borges.
