Abstract
El presente artículo ahonda en dos objetivos principales. Primeramente, exhibir las últimas novedades legislativas sobre la presentación de certificados de antecedentes judiciales para trabajos que involucren tareas de cuidados. En segundo lugar, potenciar la necesidad de visibilizar a los cuidados, como derecho y como función social. Ello implica la posibilidad de recibir y brindar cuidados en condiciones de igualdad y calidad. Para ello es necesario formalizar el empleo en este sector de actividad, mejorar las condiciones laborales y brindar formación para que el servicio sea de calidad. El texto se estructura en cuatro partes, una introducción y tres apartados. En la introducción se presenta el tema y los antecedentes normativos, así como también se analizan antecedentes y el ámbito de aplicación de la ley 19.791 (2019). En el primer apartado se realiza una aproximación a la incidencia de esas novedades normativas en el área de trabajo en cuidados. El segundo apartado indaga la compatibilidad de dichas novedades con el ordenamiento jurídico uruguayo. En el último apartado, se presentan los fundamentos conceptuales del tema. Finalmente, se exponen algunas reflexiones.
