Abstract
Posterior rectus sheath hernias are extremely rare. Exact mechanism of these hernias is not well understood. These hernias located between posterior rectus sheath and rectus muscle, above or below the umbilicus. As any other ventral hernias, posterior rectus sheath hernias may be presented as an emergency.
