Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

This study reviews the book ‘Lives of Three Religious Scholars: Haci Veyis and His Sons Mustafa and Ibrahim Efendi’. All three lived in Konya in a period stretching from the last quarter of the XIX. century and the first half of the XX. Century, regarding their education, their positions and their influence on local people. In this book, the positions of them as a lecturer, as a preacher and as a hodja at mosque were stated. They spent all their time educating people of Konya for their religion. After a while, the authorities began to prosecute them for their influence on people although the people of Konya loved and respected them. This book also gives interesting information on the political history of that period

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.
