Abstract
The three articles in this special series focus on ad hoc and sensor networks topics. The articles cover three different pragmatic directions that successfully exploited the ad hoc paradigm: wireless sensor networks (WSNs), wireless mesh networks, and vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs).
