Abstract
Cet article, basé sur un terrain de recherche mené en 2018, s’intéresse à l’activité de travail des préposées aux bénéficiaires dans deux ressources intermédiaires à Montréal. Il s’intéresse plus précisément aux liens entre l’activité de travail de soin salarié, les difficultés vécues dans le « réel du travail » et les modalités de la division sexuelle du travail. Il vise à documenter les expériences des préposées et à rendre compte de certaines caractéristiques à partir d’une perspective féministe matérialiste du travail et de ses divisions. L’article est divisé en quatre parties. La première partie dresse d’abord un portrait des transformations sociohistoriques qui affectent ce secteur de soins, suivi d’une brève revue de la littérature. La troisième partie expose ensuite les principaux résultats de la recherche et, finalement, la dernière partie discute de ces résultats à la lumière d’une perspective féministe sur la transversalité des divisions sociales du travail. L’objectif consiste à éclairer certaines dynamiques qui participent de la précarisation des conditions de travail des préposées en tant que travailleuses.
