Abstract
Dans cet article, nous proposons d’explorer l’articulation entre mémoire collective et prise en compte de l’existant dans la conduite de projets de réaménagement d’espaces publics, à travers l’analyse de la blueFACTORY (Suisse). Après avoir constaté un écart significatif entre le « patrimoine reconnu » des autorités planificatrices et le « patrimoine perçu » de ceux qui fréquentent les espace en cours de transformation, nous posons la question de la capacité des instruments régulateurs du patrimoine à intégrer tout un ensemble d’objets mis de côté et pourtant investis d’une valeur symbolique à portée patrimoniale. Nous proposons aussi une méthode susceptible d’élargir les « espaces de négociation » par lesquels se déterminent ces éléments dignes d’être conservés, protégés ou mis en valeur dans le cadre d’un projet urbain. Enfin, nous concluons sur l’opportunité de saisir la mémoire collective (lointaine ou récente) comme levier opérationnel de valorisation de l’histoire d’un lieu, ainsi que des éléments porteurs de valeur symbolique et de valeur d’usage.
