Abstract
Goal-setting is a key element in chronic disease management. Based on the results of repeated patient experience surveys of kidney patients in British Columbia (BC), Canada, it is an aspect of care that has significant potential to enhance overall patient experience in chronic kidney disease (CKD) care. However, little is known about the perception of goal-setting in adults with CKD care, and specific changes that can be made to improve it systematically. This system-wide initiative aims to identify and enable what is needed to improve goal-setting for adults with CKD from the perspectives of kidney health professionals, patients, and family caregivers living with CKD.
