Abstract
À partir de diverses figures de la peur, cet entretien propose une mise en relation de certaines mentalités collectives avec les modes d’être individuels contemporains. Les distinctions psychanalytiques entre peur et angoisse, ainsi que l’expérience de la clinique, permettent d’éclairer l’incertitude inhérente à l’expérience du vivre, mais également inhérente au processus même de pensée et de création. La fuite en avant, fuite de l’angoisse aussi bien que fuite de la limite, en tant qu’elles sont devenues des modèles culturels ambiants, sont abordées à travers l’injonction au paraître et la réduction du sujet postmoderne à son image.
