Abstract
Cette étude présente une analyse de contenu d’un échantillon aléatoire de 311 publications mises en ligne sur les pages Facebook des conseils de quartier de Québec. L’objectif est de comprendre comment cet organisme citoyen de participation politique microlocale en quête de reconnaissance utilise les médias sociaux pour communiquer avec les résident·e·s. L’analyse montre que la communication à sens unique est l’approche privilégiée. Cette dernière ne peut contribuer à la création d’un espace « cyberdémocratique ». Qui plus est, il ne semble pas y avoir une véritable stratégie concertée de promotion du rôle et des actions des conseils de quartier. Le contenu que ces organismes publient sur leurs pages Facebook est plutôt de l’ordre d’un babillard communautaire. Sur le plan méthodologique, l’article met en lumière l’importance d’étudier le rôle réservé aux récepteur·rice·s de la communication en ligne, surtout dans les études qui cherchent à relever ses fonctions (information, promotion, interaction, mobilisation).
