Abstract
In an environment and faculty predominantly dominated by whiteness and capitalism, while being a member of the minority that differ from the accepted Western heterosexual norm, I would like to explore the journey of myself, as well as my colleagues, renegotiating with differences to establish ourselves, and re-claim power. Research is planned to be conducted through application of gender studies and feminist concepts to interviews of experiences of students who are racially diverse and different from the majority.
