Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

A study was conducted in which the low-level air temperature in Toronto, Ontario was simulated over a 48 hour period in late June 2001 using a mesoscale model with parameterizations of natural and urban surfaces. An urban heat island of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius was obtained. The modeled temperatures appeared reasonable. The low-level urban temperatures were reduced by 1 degree Celsius when the city was irrigated. It was determined that the addition of even a small amount of irrigated green roofs deepened and extended the cooling over a large area of the city. Model assumptions, case study choice, and input data of unknown quality may have resulted in modeled cooling being artificially low. 21 refs., 1 tab., 5 figs.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
