Abstract
Dans ce recit tres personnel, illustre de sa propre main, original et drole, Dany Laferriere se raconte. De son enfance en Haiti, il parle des gens qu'il aime, de ses souvenirs, des lieux et sensations. Puis il bifurque sur les peintres primitifs... avant de nous embarquer a Miami, ou il vecut quelques annees, periode de sa vie dont il nous raconte le quotidien aupres de sa femme et ses filles, dans ce pays inconnu. Il evoque les quartiers et les habitants, la societe americaine, mais surtout il raconte la vie d'ecrivain, la solitude et la reconnaissance. Etonnant, lumineux, tendre et profondement authentique, ce recit dessine s'adresse aux amoureux de Dany Laferriere, d'abord, mais aussi aux amoureux des mots et des histoires. Dany Laferriere, ne en 1953 en Haiti, est un ecrivain et scenariste residant principalement a Montreal. Laureat du prix Medicis en 2009 pour L'Enigme du retour (Grasset), il est elu en 2013 a l'Academie francaise, ou il est officiellement recu en 2015.
