Abstract
The author analyzes the results of the Canada's presidency in the Arctic Council from 2013-2015 and the Iqaluit Declaration of April 24 th , 2015.He holds that the United States intend to use their current Arctic Council presidency (2015-2017) to solve the country's internal issues related to the Arctic areas.The US Chairmanship is focused on three priorities such as improving the economic and living conditions of the Arctic communities; the Arctic Ocean safety, security and stewardship; and combating climate change.In these areas, the United States rely on constructive cooperation with Russia.
