Abstract
La transition énergétique est vectrice d’enjeux non seulement environnementaux, mais aussi et surtout politiques, sociaux et économiques. Dans ce contexte, il est nécessaire de ne pas limiter la compréhension de la déployabilité d’une technologie uniquement aux regards de ce qu’elle peut offrir sur un plan techno-scientifique. Le vecteur énergétique hydrogène offre justement une formidable opportunité de comprendre l’impact des tensions et enjeux extérieurs à la dimension techno-scientifique. Cela parce qu’il demeure à la fois bien connu du plus grand nombre, mais sans que ceux-ci ne sachent réellement ce que son déploiement ne signifie vraiment ; qu’il s’agisse des infrastructures ou des pratiques nécessaires à son fonctionnement. Analyser les perceptions d’une technologie industrielle avant qu’elle ne soit déployée permet alors de démontrer les limites de la perception de l’acceptabilité sociale comme résultant uniquement de ladite technologie.
