Abstract
Latar Belakang : Memiliki anak yang normal baik fisik maupun mental adalah harapan bagi semua orang tua namun jika dalam perkembangan anaknya mengalami suatu gangguan, maka orang tua akan menjadi sedih. Salah satu gangguan pada masa kanak-kanak yang menjadi ketakutan orang tua adalah retardasi mental. Peran orang tua dalam mengasuh anak retardasi mental dan hubungan anak retardasi mental dengan orang tua sangatlah penting dibandingkan dengan hubungan anak yang intelegensinya normal dengan orang tuanya. Tujuan : untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial keluarga dengan stres pada ibu yang memiliki anak retardasi mental di SLB Kaliwungu Kecamatan Kaliwungu Kabupaten Kudus tahun 2017/2018. Metode :. Penelitian analitik dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah ibu yang memiliki anak retardasi mental tingkat SD di SLB Kaliwungu Kudus yang berjumlah 85 ibu, dengan sampel yang diteliti sejumlah 30 ibu. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Hasil Penelitian : Dari 30 responden menunjukkan dukungan sosial keluarga tinggi 17 responden (56,7%) dan dukungan sosial keluarga rendah 13 responden (43,3%). Sedangkan stres pada ibu rendah19 responden (63,3%) dan stres pada ibu tinggi 11 responden (36,7%). Terdapat hubungan hubungan dukungan sosial keluarga dengan stress pada ibu yang memiliki anak retardasi mental di SLB Kaliwungu Kudus dengan p value 0,001 (p value < 0,05). Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan dukungan sosial keluarga dengan stress pada ibu yang memiliki anak retardasi mental di SLB Kaliwungu Kudus.
