In article number 2003263, Hui Tong, Shuhui Sun, Feng Dang and co-workers report a core-shell nanostructured MoSe2@CNT featuring direct Li2O2 formation/decomposition catalytic capability for efficient Li–O2 batteries. The nucleation and equiaxial growth of Li2O2 are experimentally and theoretically confirmed to be taking place on the layered MoSe2-shell surface, which significantly improves the electrochemical activity with superior specific capacities and ultralong cycle-life.
